Newaygo County Mental Health (NCMH) has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2006. Most recently, NCMH was awarded a three-Year accreditation for the following programs:

What is CARF?

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services providers in the following areas:

• Aging Services
• Behavioral Health
• Child and Youth Services
• Employment and Community Services
• Vision Rehabilitation Services
• Medical Rehabilitation
• Opioid Treatment Program

When a service or program is accredited by CARF, it means it has undergone an in-depth review of its services and demonstrated substantial conformance to the CARF standards during the on-site survey. Accreditation is evidence to persons served that an organization has demonstrated its commitment to encouraging feedback, continuously improving services, enhancing performance, and managing risk.
